42 surface sites collecting atmospheric (<10m), soil & solar data for public distribution

FAWN was established in 1998 as a network of weather stations that represent agricultural land. Deployed statewide, this network of 42 automated weather stations collects data every 15 minutes, providing data and decision-making tools via the web.  The network is mostly deployed in rural regions of Florida, primarily on public land (UF research centers, Forestry observation posts, county offices), but several are deployed on private land.  All stations use a 10m tower and are fixed in concrete and have guy wire support.
