University of Georgia
Established in 1991 to replace the manual weather stations at the University of Georgia’s 17 research and education centers, the network has grown and its mission evolved to primarily serve the agricultural community. The network’s 85 Campbell Scientific automated weather stations with instruments deployed on a tripod mast are situated in fixed locations, primarily on private property in agricultural areas across Georgia as well as other locations such as schools, golf courses, power plants, UGA research and education facilities, etc.
