55 surface sites collecting atmospheric data (<10m), solar and soil data for distribution to NOAA

Primarily developed for agriculture, the Kansas Mesonet has been in operation since 1984. Tripods and 10m towers are deployed on grass surfaces and are regionally representative with only a few exceptions.
